Kait Lee started singing at the age of 5 and hasn't shut up since. She initially studied bel canto with Jennifer Dakin, going on to indulge her passion for jazz and world music during her university years, studying under jazz trumpeter Chris Batchelor, percussionist Paul Clarvis and world music virtuoso Stuart Hall. Having graduated with an honours degree in Performing Arts, and in addition to a varied and lively performing and recording career, Kait is also a vocal coach, music director and arranger.
Brad first started playing the guitar aged 11, and his passion for Jazz was sparked on his first visit to the legendary Django Reinhardt festival in Samois sur Seine. After studying popular music at college, he went on to graduate with a Ba(hons) in performance industries in 2013 and now keeps busy composing, recording and gigging with Nuages and various other bands.
Jo plays alto sax with a variety of local bands, including a wind band, a ceilidh band and, more unusually, a saxophone choir – that is twelve saxes making a great sound! She picked up the clarinet more recently and is much enjoying adding to the instrumental mix of ‘Nuages’.
The original founder of Nuages with Steve back in 1998 Ian is a guitarist, bass player and arranger with over 40 years of experience. Having discovered Gypsy Jazz in the early 1990's Ian is a big fan of this style of European Jazz and has been a regular at festivals and events both in the UK and France. Living in Broad Town Near Swindon, Wilts, UK. Ian is also available as a professional session musician, composer and arranger and can often be found playing swing in Big Bands.
Steve is a Jazz Guitarist and Double Bass Player based in Swindon, UK. He has been active on the local, and not so local, music scene for most of the last 40+ years as a semi-pro and for the last 15 of those, a pro musician.He has played styles ranging from Trad Jazz and Jazz Funk, through Blues, Rock, Pop, Rock 'n' Roll, back to Mainstream Jazz and Gypsy Jazz. Steve has performed as part of various lineups at the Birmingham Jazz Festival, Marlborough International Jazz Festival, The UK International Gypsy Jazz Guitar Festival, Swindon Jazz Festival, Teignmouth Jazz Festival, Cheltenham Fringe Jazz Festival amongst others.
